The Right Seats for Your Little One

AWOL Tours offer a variety of child‑friendly bike seat options, depending on the age and size of your child

  • Baby seats: Ideal for babies from around 9kg’s to 20kg’s, provided they can sit unaided. The seat mounts securely and come with harness straps similar to a car seat.
  • Carrymac seats for toddlers: These mount on the top bar of the bike frame, with footrests on the lower bar so children sit upright, holding the handlebar. It gives them a fun sense of being part of the ride while staying safely between the parent’s arms. Suitable up to about 6 years of age.
  • Tow‑bar / trailer‑bike for younger children ( 6 to 12 years): This setup lets a child ride their own bike while it is towed by the adult’s bike. The child’s front wheel is lifted, and the trailer bar ensures the handles don’t steer, so the adult remains in control. The child can pedal or coast, so they feel like they’re riding but with a bit of support.
  • Small bikes for older kids: For teens or pre‑teens comfortable on a bike, we offer appropriately sized bikes so they can ride independently.
